Hello my name is Ralph Reyes and I am the host of the “I Survived the DOTDOTDOT podcast”. I am looking forward to sharing my struggles and achievements after attending the Route 91 Las Vegas Shooting. The purpose of this podcast is to give people who have survived or lived through tragic events a platform to share their stories. This may include mass shootings, drug and alcohol abuse, cancer, homelessness, or other life-changing events. My goal is for our guests to share their personal stories from a survivor’s point of view in hopes that it can motivate anyone who may have suffered a similar life event and to help others understand the struggles some of us have faced.
Ralph Reyes has dedicated his career to working with the underserved for over 20 years. This includes working with adults with disabilities, at-risk youth, and the medically underserved. On October 1, 2017 Mr. Reyes, along with his wife and family members were in attendance of the Route 91 Harvest Festival Las Vegas Shooting. This life changing event caused Mr. Reyes to change professions and he is currently a teacher.
Education has always been a field of interest for him. He obtained a Bachelor of History from California State University, San Marcos and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge. He currently sits on the National Advisory Task Force Committee for the Disaster, Distress, Helpline and is the district 3 representative for the County of Ventura Community Health Center Board (CHC).
